Thank you for helping students find their way. You’re going the extra mile to help your students graduate and find great careers, and we appreciate your work.
Bring Your Students to the Expo
The annual NW Youth Careers Expo offers a great chance each spring for students to broaden their career horizons. Students can talk with people who work for some of the region’s top employers, practice their job-hunting skills at mock interviews, and try out cool equipment from local hospitals, advanced manufacturers and design studios.
Encourage Students to Attend Career Days
PWA offers numerous career days a year to Portland-area students. Most are for students in our contract partner school districts and open to students from the greater tri-county area when space permits. These career days allow students to see and “touch” the work in ways that go beyond what is possible in the classroom.
