“It’s just a valuable experience to get out in the world and explore. Part of learning is to actually go out and get engaged and try to learn something through all your senses. That’s why I really like to go on career days.”  — Antonio Crosier, Franklin High School

Our career days take students to every corner of Portland, from sleek downtown offices to the industrial Swan Island. Employers show students their workplaces, share their insights and describe how to pursue different careers.

By going onsite, students can see the work and picture themselves as adults with interesting, challenging jobs. Every year, we work with employers and Portland-area high schools to facilitate more than two dozen career days for students. (We also have started to connect teachers to employers, too.)
