The PWA Breakfast is a chance to celebrate and strengthen the ties between high schools, employers and the community. The goal is to help more employers get involved in supporting Portland high schools and meeting their workforce needs for well-educated, diverse and skilled new talent.

The breakfast is free. (Donations and table sponsorships are welcome and appreciated.) Doors open at 7 am; the program runs from 7:30 am to 9 am.)

The breakfast kicks off the annual NW Youth Careers Expo, where students can explore the connections between today’s classes and tomorrow’s college-and-career options. Participating employers include Nike, Mercy Corps, Gunderson, Howard S. Wright, Portland General Electric, Legacy Health, Elemental Technologies, Pacific NW Carpenters Institute and 100+ other community partners.

The nonprofit Portland Workforce Alliance creates enduring partnerships between local businesses and high schools. Our mission is to help teenagers graduate from high school, find their career aspirations and contribute to a thriving Oregon economy.  We’re grateful for everyone in Oregon who shares these goals. See you at the breakfast!
