We’ve been building up to this day for over a year. Now it’s finally here!
We look forward to seeing many hundreds of you at the Oregon Convention Center this Tuesday, March 14, at our two biggest events of the year: the NW Youth Careers Expo and the PWA Breakfast.
The Expo is the Northwest’s largest career-education experience for high school students. The region’s leading employers work with PWA to create this opportunity for students across Oregon and Southwest Washington.
The PWA Breakfast is a chance to hear from civic leaders and inspiring students on career education, and to celebrate the many community partners who work with us to offer career experiences year-round for Portland high school students.
Speakers are Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler and renowned Nike designer Tinker Hatfield, and two respected educators: Parkrose School District Superintendent Karen Gray and Grant High School Principal Carol Campbell.
For breakfast attendees:
The convention center’s parking garage will be open, and on-street parking is available. The Oregon Ballroom will open at 7 am, and the program will begin promptly at 7:30 am. We’re expecting about 500 people this year, so come early, find your table and get ready for a fun morning.
We love our volunteers and supporters:
Thank you to the sponsors, foundations and individual donors who support our year-round work with Portland high schools and employers.
