The full job description and contact information is here. Applicants should be current juniors with a 3.0 GPA who are on track to graduate in 2018.
“The most important thing to us about you is that you have a passion for working on cool stuff,” CDK’s recruiting materials say. “If you have a desire to learn software development skills and enjoy working alongside a team that is building cutting edge technology, we are interested in talking to you.”
The growing company also “strongly encourages women and under-represented minorities to apply.”
CDK Global is a trusted partner of the nonprofit Portland Workforce Alliance, as well as a gold sponsor of PWA’s upcoming 2017 NW Youth Careers Expo on Tuesday, March 14. CDK also worked with PWA to host Portland Public Schools computer science teachers last summer for tech-career exploration.
How to apply: See the above links for contact information for Dianna Chourarath, a campus recruiter for CDK. The company will formally post the internship later this winter. Students may apply by emailing a resume and brief cover letter directly to Chourarath. Students who apply by Feb. 28 will be given early consideration, though CDK will continue accepting applications in March.
In the cover letter, students should share why they’re interested in the internship, confirm that they are juniors on track to graduate in 2018, and list any computer science classes they have taken.
Students and educators are welcome to visit CDK’s booth at the Expo on March 14 and chat with them directly about the company and internship opportunity.
