Students will go behind-the-scenes at KGW Studios, explore the news set and control room, and witness a live show being broadcast. They will hear from industry professionals on what it's like to cover local news, do social media and sell or create advertisements in a fast-paced environment. They will also learn about getting started, developing skills and turning their first job into a great career.

How to attend:

Step 1: Fill out the student interest form ASAP. (Type your email address and cell number carefully so we can reach you!)

Step 2: Have your parent/guardian fill out the parent/guardian permission form ASAP. Students who do this early have much better luck at being accepted. 

Step 3: PWA will contact you to let you know if you're accepted or waitlisted, or if the career day is full. (Space is still available for KGW as of May 1.) 

Step 4: Show up and have an amazing time!

Who can attend:

High school students in the Portland metro area are encouraged and welcome to apply.  High school students from outside the metro area may apply as well.
