KGW News Career Day

Students will go behind-the-scenes at KGW Studios, explore the news set and control room, and witness a live show being broadcast. They will hear from industry professionals on what it's like to cover local news, do social media and sell or create advertisements in a fast-paced environment. They will also learn about getting started, developing skills and turning their first job into a great career.

How to attend:

Registration will open approximately 4 weeks prior to the Career Day. Check back for details on how to apply! 

Who can attend:

High school students in the Portland metro area are encouraged and welcome to apply. We prioritize students from our partner school districts when space is limited (Gresham-Barlow, North Clackamas, Parkrose Portland Public Schools, Reynolds, Oregon Charter Academy).

Transportation: Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the experience
