Intercept Aviation Career Day
Are you interested in becoming a pilot or exploring a career in aviation? Travel to Scappoose, about 35 minutes north of downtown Portland, to get an up-close look at an aircraft with professionals from Intercept Aviation. Explore the plane’s avionics, flight controls and engine systems, and learn how pilots prepare for a safe flight. Hear about aviation career pathways, training requirements, daily responsibilities, and the benefits and challenges of working in the industry. Optional shuttle provided; more details online. IN PERSON at Intercept Aviation in Scappoose.
How to attend:
Step 1: Fill out the student interest form ASAP. (Type your email address and cell number carefully so we can reach you!)
Step 2: Have your parent/guardian fill out the parent/guardian permission form ASAP. (Your application can’t be considered until this is done.) Students who do this early have much better luck at being accepted.
Step 3: PWA will contact you to let you know if you’re accepted or waitlisted, or if the career day is full.
Step 4: Show up and have an amazing time!
Who can attend:
High school students in the Portland metro area are encouraged and welcome to apply. We prioritize students from our partner school districts when space is limited (Gresham-Barlow, North Clackamas, Parkrose Portland Public Schools, Reynolds, Oregon Charter Academy).
PWA Inclusion Statement: We welcome students from all racial backgrounds and ethnicities, citizenship statuses, socioeconomic backgrounds, gender identities and expressions, sexual orientations, religions and abilities.
