As we near the end of a challenging year, we are grateful for the ways in which our community has rallied to support high school students. Just as much, we’re inspired by the students themselves, whose resilience will serve them well in their future careers.
Lena Battan has served on the Portland Workforce Alliance board of directors since June 2019 and holds a leadership position on the board.
This week, we teamed up with an amazing group of North Clackamas teachers to do something that would have been unthinkable not long ago: Provide virtual mock job interviews for 180 students in three days.
Though school looks a lot different this fall, PWA’s mission is the same: We still believe in big dreams and good jobs for ALL students.
