Women in Construction week is March 6-10, 2023! There are two great career-learning experiences planned to celebrate. You don't have to identify as a woman to participate or know you're interested in construction. You just have to be student interested in exploring careers. Activities include:

Option 1: Mortenson Virtual Career Panel
Hosted virtually on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, 4:30-5:30 PM via Zoom. Zoom link to be sent out to students who sign up. Open to all students grades 6-12; unlimited space! Hear from the inspiring women of Mortenson Construction as they discuss what they do and how they found the industry. They will answer questions such as "Why Construction?" and "What’s your favorite part of your workday?" Find out how to get started in areas such as business, marketing, project management and the trades.
Option 2: Swinerton Site Visit
Hosted in person on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, 4 pm to 6 pm. The “Thesis” project hosted by Swinerton and Timberlab is located at: 2375 NW Savier St, Portland, OR 97210. Safety gear (PPE) will be provided to attendees. Inspiring construction professionals will give a talk on their career path and what it's like to be a woman in construction. They will also tour the workspace and describe the project. Space is limited. All high school students welcome, with priority given to students enrolled in the ACE Mentor Program.
