We loved seeing so many of you at the 15th annual PWA Breakfast (sponsored by OnPoint CU) and NW Youth Careers Expo on March 19. What an incredible expression of community support for high school students! Thank you to everyone who helped make the event possible. We couldn't have done it without your continuous support!

This year, we had four amazing guest speakers and the honor to hear from eight Portland-area students during our panel and speaker introductions.

Having students introduce their Superintendents was really special. From New Urban, we had Ana Bloxham-Davis welcome Superintendent Matt Utterback to the stage. A Cleveland High student, Nick Paesler, introduced his Superintendent Guadalupe Guerrero.

Madison High School student Jasmine Brown, introduced Oregon Supreme Court Justice Adrienne Nelson, who gave a heartfelt speech, reminding us all that "we are not our zip codes." Finally, healthcare focused students Meme (Parkrose) & Esmeralda (Rex Putnam) introduced Kaiser Permanente executive, Ruth Williams-Brinkley.
