Calling all Expo exhibitors: If you have internships, jobs or volunteer opportunities for high school students, now is the time to tell us!

We want to spark interest in your organization and drive students to your booth at the 13th annual NW Youth Careers Expo on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. We can tell teachers and students prior to the event about your career-learning opportunities for high school students, including internships, jobs, job shadows, mentorships or volunteer options.

Send us a quick email to our communications coordinator, George Rede (george@portlandworkforcealliance.org). Please either briefly describe the opportunity (including any links) or simply ask him to follow up with you.

A number of our Expo exhibitors have great opportunities. For example, CDK Global has high school interns. Portland Parks & Rec offers summer jobs. PCC Structurals has job opportunities for students 18 and up. Others have volunteer opportunities or are willing to do job shadows. What do you have?

More than 6,900 students from 65+ high schools in Oregon and Southwest Washington have already signed up for this statewide career-exploration event. Employers use the Expo to connect with these smart, diverse young people who could be their future interns, applicants and leaders.

The 2017 Expo is on Tuesday, March 14, from 9 am to 1:30 pm at the Oregon Convention Center. We’ll see you there!
